HEEHRA Rebates for Single Family Homes in Northern California Fully Reserved as of February 24, 2026
February 24, 2025
HEEHRA REBATES UPDATE
As of February 24, 2026, HEEHRA rebates for single family home retrofits in the Northern California region are fully reserved. Single family HEEHRA rebates are now fully reserved statewide, and no new income verification requests are being accepted at this time. All submitted reservation requests for projects in the Northern California region that were not approved have been put on a waitlist in case additional funding becomes available. Reservations submitted after February 24, 2026, will also be put on the waitlist.
Waitlisted projects are only eligible for a HEEHRA rebate if the heat pump is installed after the reservation is approved.
Reservation Waitlist Process
- To join the waitlist, contractors need to submit a reservation request in Iris for their customer that includes all required project information and document attachments. The new reservation request will be kept in the ‘Under Review’ status until any funding is available.
- If additional funding becomes available, the program will reach out to the listed contractor and customer to confirm the heat pump HVAC has not been installed, and the customer still wants to proceed with a HEEHRA-eligible heat pump HVAC installation. Contractors will be required to respond within seven days or the reservation request will be removed from the waitlist.
- The program will process the waitlisted reservation request, and notification of the approved reservation will be provided to the contractor.
- The contractor can now proceed with installation. If the equipment is installed before the reservation is issued, the reservation and/or claim will be rejected.
Income Verification Applications
- All income verification applications submitted and not processed will remain in a waitlist status.
- Income verifications submitted after today, February 24, 2026, will not be processed or approved.
Project Deadlines
- All reservations are now valid for 120 days from the date of reservation approval. While 120 days are provided to complete the installation and submit the rebate claim and required documents, we strongly recommend completing and closing out projects in less time.
- If the corresponding claim is not submitted by the applicable deadline, the reservation will be cancelled. At that point, the program team will start reaching out to contractors and customers with waitlisted reservation requests to backfill cancelled reservations.
