Incentive and Rebate Updates
As of November 2, 2026, TECH Clean California incentives are now available to single-family residents in the San Fernando Valley impacted by the Aliso Canyon Gas storage facility. These incentives are designed to provide equitable access to efficient electric appliances like heat pumps and to reduce reliance on natural gas.
As of September 1, 2026, multifamily HEEHRA rebates are fully reserved for projects statewide.
As of February 24, 2026, HEEHRA single-family rebates are fully reserved for projects statewide. In addition, the program is no longer accepting new income verification applications for single-family projects statewide. All submitted reservation requests for projects in the Northern California region that were not approved have been put on a waitlist in case additional funding becomes available. Reservations submitted after February 24, 2026, will also be put on the waitlist. Waitlisted projects are only eligible for a HEEHRA rebate if the heat pump is installed after the reservation is approved.
As of January 7, 2026, HEEHRA rebates for single-family home retrofits in Central California and Southern California are fully reserved. All reservation requests for projects in the Central and Southern regions that could not be processed and approved prior to the regional budgets becoming fully reserved will be put on a waitlist in case budget becomes available again in the future. Northern California is expected to be fully reserved in January 2026. Income verifications are only accepted in the Northern region as of January 2, 2026. Customers can explore incentives available near you on The Switch Is On's Incentive Finder page. Contractors can enroll in TECH Clean California and become eligible for incentives on The Switch Is On's Enrollment Form page, and find program resources like flyers.
