SCG Service Area Funding Update

Today, May 30, 2024, is the last day to make sales and create claims to reserve single family market rate and equity incentives for heat pump water heaters in the SoCalGas service area. Contractors have until the end of the day today, May 30, 2024, to get claims created in our online system. No claims with signed Customer Terms & Conditions dated after May 30, 2024, will be accepted, and no claims created after May 30, 2024, will be accepted.

Market Rate Incentives

This is a temporary pause in market rate incentive availability. Single family market rate incentives are still available for 3CE customers through the Electrify Your Home program, though 3CE is evaluating incentive changes in the future. To make funding last longer and support additional projects, we set aside a portion of the market rate budget which will be released at a later date, likely with reduced incentive levels in certain regions.

Equity Incentives

This is the last of the single family equity heat pump water heater incentives for electric investor-owned utility customers in the SoCalGas service area. Single family equity incentives for heat pump water heaters are still available in the non-SMUD publicly owned electric utilities, SDG&E service areas, and for 3CE customers through the Electrify Your Home program. No single family equity heat pump water heater funding remains to be released.

Please refer to the Incentive Budget Report table to verify incentive availability based on gas and electricity providers (see footnotes under table) and refer to the Switch is On Incentive Lookup tool to verify availability for specific ZIP codes whenever a project is located near a service area that no longer has funding.
